Cuevas del Becerro is situated in the Comarca del Guadalteba.

The centre of the village is built on a low hill, flanked on one side by the Sierra de Vijan, and on the other by Los Tercios Hill, forming a natural corridor along which the River Las Cuevas flows. The most noteworthy monument in this mountain village of whitewashed houses is its parish church.

Geographical Location: in the northern part of the Ronda region, on the border of Antequera. It is 20 kilometres from Ronda and 105 from the city of Málaga. The village sits at more than 730 metres above sea level. The area records an average rainfall of 820 litres per square metre and the average temperature is 15º C.
